A representation of an alternate reality in which Israel’s official symbols were designed by Jewish immigrants from Arab countriesThe series before you was created in the past year, in which I used photography to explore meaningful family items.
With the passage of time, these mundane everyday items have been rooted out from their frequent use and became more of a relic, a fond memory of the past. More likely than not, they are decorating some shelf or a cupboard, or inhabiting a drawer, firmly cemented in the family archives.
Now, for the second time, through the camera lens, they are once again made foreign to their original function as if they forgot their role, meshing together in instability, out of context and detached.
